2026 ,with New Theme as the Key to Break the Deadlock and Build a New Normal of China Design
In 2020, at the intersection of global shifts and industry reflection, CIFF (Guangzhou) innovatively launched the "Contemporary Design Fair," leveraging its深厚的industrial foundation. From its inception, the Contemporary Design Fair was endowed with a new positioning—to practice "Design Leadership, Dual Circulation, Full-chain Synergy," elevating design into a strategic pivot driving the entire industry chain's development. Starting with the inaugural theme "Spring of Design," it responded to the industry's anticipation for recovery and the future, gradually constructing its industry-leading function. From 2020 to 2023, the exhibition focused on connecting creativity and industry, solidifying systematic support for design realization. In 2024, it further proposed building an "industry-academia-research-application" ecosystem, promoting the deep integration of design thinking and manufacturing. In 2025, the focus extended to "Brands Going Global," assisting Chinese design in exploring global narratives and commercial pathways through forums and service systems.

Global brand representatives, industry
buyers and media delegations are present at the 2025 Contemporary Design Fair.
Based on five years of practice and observation, the core issues the Contemporary Design Fair focuses on have become increasingly clear: How to transform individual creative potential into the industry's systematic, sustainable advantage? This points to a series of frameworks requiring collective construction: clearer internationalization pathways, more efficient industry chain collaboration, and more open growth channels for the new generation of designers. The bridges connecting creativity and business urgently need more robust and reliable systemic support. Based on these profound insights, the Contemporary Design Fair continuously breaks through the limitations of traditional exhibitions as "static displays," striving to become soil that nourishes the process—an ecosystem with the core concept of "Design Commons," constructed from three directions—"Industry," "Value," and "Belief"—aimed at solving structural problems and enabling the smooth flow of creativity.
This system is supported by three core
pillars:
1、Industry Cohesion (Contemporary Design
Fair): The engine of industry chain synergy.
2、Value Co-creation (Design of
Designers): The cradle for the growth of original forces.
3、Belief Resonance (Design Vision): The
amplifier for forward-thinking ideas.
In an era of uncertainty, what Chinese
design needs is not an isolated stage, but soil capable of providing systemic
support, promoting dual circulation, and achieving long-term symbiosis. The
CIFF Contemporary Design Fair is attempting to become the cultivator of this
very soil.
